Function of Nidec Unidrive M700

Built-in ultra-flexible position and speed feedback interface supports most feedback techniques from resolvers to high-resolution encoders, including SinCos, EnDat, SSI, HIPERFACE and BiSS.

Sensorless Control function

The Nidec Unidrive M700 inverter supports sensorless control for asynchronous, permanent magnet (PM), and hybrid permanent magnet (PM) motors, helping to reduce system costs and increase reliability.

Control

Supporting control switching frequency ranges up to 16 kHz, for open and closed-loop asynchronous motors, servo and hybrid PM motors, providing up to 3000Hz closed-loop current bandwidth and 250Hz closed-loop speed bandwidth. Unidrive inverter with high response speed is suitable for applications with high output frequency above 600 Hz such as milling cutters and centrifuges.

Safe function

Modern system, replacing traditional electro-mechanical safety devices with the latest generation inverters, which are the new industry standard for improved performance and utility

Unidrive M inverter offers Safe Torque Off (STO) function, meet SIL3/PLe standards, provide  a neater and more reliable solution compared to traditional magnetic drives.

Build-in PLC function

All drives in the Nidec Unidrive M700 series are integrated with an easy-to-use PLC that can be used to program logic programs and IEC 61131-3 motion and sequential tasks in real time.

High quality motor controller

The Unidrive M700 inverter series integrates a high-end 1.5-axis Motion controller, allowing motion functions to be performed synchronously on the inverter with 250 μs cycle time, minimizing accumulated system errors and maximizing productivity. By implementing motion control on the inverter, the system design can be freed from dependence on a dedicated PLC supplier, while reducing the calculation on an external PLC or even replacing it totally.
